Buckle up for the 5th Annual All-Japan Showdown at Willow Springs International Raceway on March 6th and 7th, 2026 uniting the JDM community for a weekend of horsepower and heritage. Hosted by VARA Racing in collaboration with the Z Club of America, West Coast Datsun Club, Group Z Sports Car Club, Empire Z, Vintage Motor Union, Z Car Club of Inland Valley, Z Club of San Diego and more, this adrenaline-fueled extravaganza will celebrate the finest in vintage JDM race cars and SoCal motorsports enthusisast.

March 6 2026 · 6am to 6pm

Day One includes vintage race cars competing, a large JDM Exhibition of street and track cars, Parade Laps and photo session, Vendors, Entertainment and wraps up with the All-Japan Showdown Race for VARA racers on Big Willow.

Sunday

March 7 2026 · 6am to 5pm

Sunday is an HPDE High Performance Driver Education open to street, track, race cars. Newbies must attend a VARA morning school before getting on the track.

We will meet around 8am at Denny’s and depart by 8:30am via the I-5 North and connecting to CA-14 freeway. We will exit # 55 “Rosamond” and turn left to go straight to Willow Springs Raceway.

We should arrive before 10 am to the track.



Event Features

There’s a lot for friends and family to absorb during the All Japan Showdown! On Saturday there’s VARA vintage race cars on track, Parade Laps, Japanese Taiko Drummers, Hot Wheels Racing, FormulaSAE race cars built by college students, Disabled Veteran craftsmanship, Cars.Speed.Dating, Car Clubs, Vendors, Raffle and more.



Food & Drink

Yup! There is a great diner located in the Paddock area near the start/finish line of the Big Willow Track with burgers, sandwiches, salads, snacks, drinks and more – all reasonably priced. Sure you can bring your favorite eats if that’s your dietary preference.



Parking

Parking for the All Japan Showdown is on a ‘first come – first served’ basis. You will be guided to the available spots throughout the Paddock area. If you want to park next to a friend(s), we suggest arriving and sticking together as you enter the Raceway.

The Venue

Willow Springs International Motorsports Park (commonly referred to as “Willow Springs”) is located in Rosamond, California about 80 miles north of Los Angeles. It is the oldest permanent Road Course in the United States. Construction began in 1952, with the inaugural race held on November 23, 1953. The main track is a 2.5 miles long road course that is unchanged from its original 1953 configuration. The elevation changes and high average speeds make it a favorite of many road racing drivers.

HPDE – High Performance Driver Education

Sunday is HPDE day on the Big Willow race track where drivers are taught high-speed driving techniques and car control in a safe, non-competitive environment. It is an educational program, not a race, that allows participants to explore the limits of their own vehicles with the guidance of professional instructors.

Ready to Register for HPDE?

On the Sunday is our very popular HPDE Track Day (last year sold out before the event) where you will receive 4 classroom sessions and 4 (20 minute) track sessions. The HPDE is open to street cars or race prepped cars that must pass a Tech Inspection, that you can go thru on Saturday or first thing Sunday morning. Of course, Helmets are Required and NO passenger ride alongs.

Already a Licensed Racer?

If you already hold a current and valid Racing License with a race organization (club racing or scca type) then you can run in HPD on the Sunday Track Day.

All Japan Showdown has a growing number of Vendors and Exhibitors participating in 2027 providing parts, builds, expendables, resources, shared knowledge as well as merch and non-profit organizations. There’s something for every JDM Owner!

Vendors and Exhibitors interested in setting up a booth at the Showdown must pay a $100 Vendor/Exhibitor Fee. The $100 dollars is immediately contributed to help the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
